Litefoot was in Las Vegas March 14-17th to attend the 25th Annual Reservation Economic Summit (RES) presented by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED). Litefoot served as Emcee for RES 2011, his 3rd time to do so in as many years. Litefoot had a full schedule while attending RES 2011 and kicked the week off by playing in the NCAIED Scholarship Golf Tournament held at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort with NCAIED Chairwoman Margo Gray-Proctor. Litefoot served as the emcee for all RES 2011 General Sessions and was also the Moderator for the “ENTERTAINMENT: A BUSINESS FOR INDIAN COUNTRY” panel discussion which featured five respected entertainment panelists including Red Vinyl Records Vice-President Gyasi Ross, Native American Film Consultant Sonny Skyhawk and Film Director Chris Eyre to name a few.
Litefoot was honored by NCAIED and elected to its Board of Directors where he will serve with several other successful Native American leaders and business people including National Indian Gaming Association Chairman Ernie Stevens Jr. and John Echohawk who is the Executive Director of the Native American Rights Fund. NCAIED Chairwoman Margo Gray-Proctor welcomed Litefoot to the NCAIED Board of Directors during the Wednesday March 16th afternoon general session at RES.
Litefoot was also on hand to meet special Guest Keynote speaker Bill Rancic the winner of NBC’s season 1 of “The Apprentice” and star of the Style Network’s, “Bill and Giuliana” reality TV series. Below is a picture of Litefoot and Bill Rancic. Enjoy!
