When my wife Carmen and I launched IndigiProductions, we weren’t just starting a film company—we were creating a way to tell our stories, our way.
For a long time, Indigenous stories have been told by people who didn’t understand them. They gave us stereotypes instead of real people, and tropes instead of truth. IndigiProductions exists to shift that.
What We’re Doing
We’re not just producing content—we’re creating a space where Indigenous voices lead. My first documentary film, “Strong Hearts: An Indigenous Love Letter to My Sons,” set the tone. It’s personal, honest, and made to reflect the strength and love we pass down.
The response has been powerful. Awards and festivals are great, but what matters most is hearing from families who say they saw themselves in the story and how the film has helped them. That’s the win.
Projects in Motion
- “Thunder Dreamer” – A feature film about Crazy Horse, that I’ve written in the spirit of reflecting who he really was: a visionary leader and man of the people – not just a name in history books.
- Lyle Thompson Documentary – We are currently in production on this project and have been busy filming in New York, Texas, Georgia and Canada. Lyle isn’t just an elite athlete. Lyle is the cultural personification of the all the Creator’s Game is meant to be: strength, focus, fluidity, effort, poise and prayer. He has taken these teachings into fatherhood and serving as a respected voice in his community. This film tells the fuller story of one of the most iconic indigenous athletes of our time.
More Than Film
IndigiProductions is part of something bigger. We’re building a media ecosystem that includes:
- IndigiStudios – Driving the distribution of our film development and production
- IndigiAI – Creating culturally grounded AI tools for sovereign Tribal nations
- Native Business – Telling the ongoing stories of Indigenous entrepreneurship and Tribal self-determination
Each part supports the others, all built around storytelling, empowerment, and self-determination.
Why It Matters
Representation isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about telling the truth. It’s about our next generations seeing themselves accurately represented in today’s world. And it’s absolutely about making sure we’re in control of how our stories are told and reclaiming our narrative.
Every project is a step toward that.
If this work resonates with you, we’d love your support—whether that means watching, sharing, or helping us bring these stories, and this movement, to life.
